Understanding your experience

A GuidedD session is a one-on-one video conversation between you and a vetted mentor. It's not a coaching program, a course, or a therapy session — it's a focused, honest conversation with someone who has real experience navigating the kind of decision or situation you're facing.

Sessions are either 30 minutes (Quick Advice) or 60 minutes (Deep Dive). You come with your situation. Your mentor comes prepared to listen, ask the right questions, and share what they've actually learned.

Coaching is typically a structured, ongoing engagement focused on building skills or habits. Therapy addresses mental health and emotional wellbeing. GuidedD is neither of those.

GuidedD is mentorship — practical, experience-based guidance from someone who has been where you are. The focus is on your specific situation and what might actually help you move forward, drawn from lived experience rather than a framework or clinical approach.

When you join GuidedD, you'll answer a few short questions about your career stage, what you're navigating, and the kind of support you're looking for. From there, you can browse mentor profiles filtered by industry, expertise, and topic.

Each mentor profile includes their background, what they help with, a personal note, and details about their session format — so you can make a considered choice rather than guessing. If you're not sure, you can save a profile and come back to it.

All GuidedD sessions are conducted via video call. You'll receive a secure link once your session is confirmed. No special software is required — just a device with a camera and a quiet space.

GuidedD offers both 30-minute and 60-minute sessions. Pricing varies by mentor based on their experience, background, and specialization.

  • 30-minute sessions typically range from $75 to $150
  • 60-minute sessions typically range from $150 to $300+

Each mentor sets their own pricing, allowing you to choose the right fit based on your goals and the level of support you're looking for. You won't be charged until your session is scheduled and confirmed — no subscriptions, no membership fees, no long-term commitments.

We take quality seriously. If your session did not meet expectations, please reach out to us at support@guidedd.com. We will review what happened and determine the appropriate next step, which may include a refund or session credit.

Yes. If a session goes well and you'd like to continue working with the same mentor, you can request another session directly from their profile. GuidedD is designed around pay-per-session flexibility — there's no pressure to commit to an ongoing package, but the option is there if it makes sense for you.

All booking and payment happens through GuidedD. Browse mentor profiles, choose a session type, and complete checkout — payment is collected at the time of booking. You will receive a confirmation once your mentor confirms availability.

GuidedD never asks mentees to pay mentors directly. If a mentor ever requests payment outside the platform, please contact us at support@guidedd.com right away.

If a mentor cancels with less than 24 hours’ notice, you are entitled to a full refund. If a mentor is more than 5 minutes late without notice, you are also entitled to a full refund. Repeated issues result in mentor review or removal from the platform.

If something goes wrong with your session, reach out to support@guidedd.com and we will make it right.

All sessions, bookings, and payments must take place through GuidedD. Mentors are not permitted to arrange sessions or accept payment outside the platform for any relationship that started through GuidedD.

This policy protects you — every session is covered by GuidedD’s refund policy, booking protections, and quality standards.

GuidedD does not record sessions. What you share in a session stays between you and your mentor. Mentors are held to a strict confidentiality standard and may not share, reference, or use session content outside the platform.


For Mentors

Joining as a mentor

We're looking for experienced professionals — typically with 8 or more years in their field — who have navigated real career decisions and genuinely enjoy helping others think through theirs.

You don't need a coaching certification or a public profile. What matters most is whether you have practical, honest perspective to share and the ability to guide a real conversation. We look for mentors across a wide range of industries, including:

  • Finance and banking
  • Legal
  • Technology and product
  • Operations and strategy
  • Healthcare
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Human resources and people leadership

The application takes roughly 7–10 minutes. It covers your professional background, the topics you're best positioned to help with, your motivation for mentoring, and your general availability.

After you apply, we review every submission personally. If you're a strong fit, we'll be in touch to learn more before welcoming you into the founding cohort.

As much or as little as you want. GuidedD is built around your schedule. You set your own availability, and you only take sessions when you're open to them. Most mentors in our founding cohort start with 1–4 sessions per month and adjust from there.

There's no minimum commitment and no penalty for taking breaks.

Mentors price their sessions within GuidedD's recommended ranges, based on experience, background, and specialization. GuidedD takes a platform commission from each booking, and the remainder goes to you. Full details on rates and payment processing will be shared when your application is confirmed.

Payments will be processed after completed sessions, with full details shared during onboarding.

As a founding cohort mentor, you'll receive:

  • A curated profile built with your input
  • Guidance on how to structure sessions effectively
  • Direct access to the GuidedD team for any questions or concerns
  • Feedback from mentees after sessions

Because we're in early development, we're building this collaboratively. Your experience and feedback as a founding mentor will directly shape how the platform grows.

No. All sessions, bookings, and payments for connections that began through GuidedD must remain on the platform. Mentors may not solicit mentees for off-platform arrangements or accept payment outside of GuidedD.

This protects both you and the mentees you work with, and it is a condition of participating as a GuidedD mentor. Violations result in immediate removal from the platform.

GuidedD is a career mentorship platform built for women navigating real decisions — from promotions and pivots to new business ideas and figuring out what comes next. It connects mentees with vetted, experienced professionals for one-on-one video sessions.

GuidedD was founded by Debbie, a financial services executive with over two decades of experience, who built the platform to close the gap in access to honest, practical career guidance.

Not yet — GuidedD is currently in early development. We're building our founding mentor cohort and opening a waitlist for mentees. If you join the waitlist now, you'll be among the first to access the platform when matching opens.

We're moving deliberately because we want to get the experience right before we scale. That means a carefully selected group of mentors, a thoughtful matching process, and a platform that actually works the way it should.

GuidedD is built with women in mind and centered on the career decisions women often navigate. Our mentor community and platform experience are designed around that focus.

We welcome all women to join as mentees. Our platform is not open to the general public as mentees — it is specifically designed for women seeking professional guidance and perspective.

We take privacy seriously. What you share in a session stays between you and your mentor. GuidedD does not record sessions, does not sell your data, and does not share your personal information with third parties without your consent.
