Debbie
Founder, GuidedD
I've spent over two decades in financial services, leading teams, building programs, and helping teams and organizations find structure in complexity. I've built a career I'm proud of. But I also know what it feels like to be accomplished and still feel stuck. To be good at your job and still not know what comes next. To wish, more than once, that you had someone in your corner who'd already navigated the terrain you were standing in.
That's the gap I built GuidedD to close. Not a platform full of generic advice. Not a coaching program. Just a way to connect women with the kind of honest, practical, human guidance that most of us only stumble into if we're lucky — or know the right people.
GuidedD is still early, but the need is real. So is my commitment to building something that truly helps.
There's a quiet inequality in how careers actually develop. Some people have access to the right mentors — a manager who champions them, a network that opens doors, a friend who's been where they want to go. Others navigate alone, Googling their way through decisions that deserve a real conversation.
For many women, that gap is real. The higher you go, the more the path depends on access to people who've already been there. And that access is still uneven. It often depends on your industry, background, education, and who you happened to meet along the way.
The best career guidance I ever received came from one honest conversation with someone who had already made the decision I was afraid to make.
GuidedD was built to make that kind of conversation more accessible — not just for women who already have the right network, but for any woman navigating a real decision and looking for a real perspective.
GuidedD is built for women at a turning point — not necessarily a crisis, but a moment of real decision. A promotion that feels within reach but still uncertain. An industry you've been thinking about leaving for years. A business idea you keep coming back to. A feeling that you're ready for something more but can't quite see the path yet.
These are the moments where good guidance makes the most difference. And these are the moments GuidedD is designed for.
GuidedD is in early development. Right now, we're focused on getting the foundation right — building a founding cohort of exceptional mentors, matching them with women who genuinely need their perspective, and making sure every session is worth the time of everyone involved.
Over time, we want GuidedD to become the platform women turn to across every stage of their career — not just for a single decision, but for the kind of ongoing, trusted guidance that helps careers unfold with intention.
A trusted place to find guidance for the decisions that shape your career — from your first major pivot to your most ambitious next step.
A meaningful way to share what you've learned, make a real difference in someone's trajectory, and be compensated for the value you bring.
A model that proves access to quality mentorship doesn't have to be a function of privilege — it can be designed, built, and made available to anyone who needs it.
A small, carefully built platform focused on doing one thing well — connecting women with the right mentor at the right moment.
